
KonMari Consultants’ mission is to Organize the World®. The in-person and virtual KonMari Consultant Program courses train people in the KonMari Method® so we can guide people to getting organized once and for all.
Consultants come from all walks of life, backgrounds, and places around the world, and we share the value of living an authentic, positive life. We spend our days helping our clients transform their homes in order to discover their most fulfilling, joyful lives.
Each Consultant completes a rigorous training process designed by Marie Kondo herself. We:
- Read Marie Kondo’s books, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up and Spark Joy
- Tidy up and organize our own homes using the KonMari Method®
- Attend an intensive three-day course with expert instructors
- Work with two practice clients and submit reports as part of the certification process
- Must pass an extensive certification exam
- Attend KonMari Community workshops and ongoing learning opportunities
KonMari Consultants share a curiosity and passion for helping others. We’ve taken the time and space to master the self-discovery and confidence that comes with identifying our “personal magic.”
A KonMari Consultant is a coach, just like you’d work with a personal trainer, sports coach, or career coach to guide you through these respective areas of your life. We provide a nonjudgemental, supportive environment, full of compassion and empathy. We guide you through the five categories – Clothing, Books, Paper, Komono (miscellaneous), and Sentimental – and help you problem-solve along the way. Our expertise comes in handy when you’ve reached a sticking point – maybe you’re unsure how to proceed with cookbooks that were passed down from your grandmother, or you can’t decide if you want to keep that old pair of jeans. We also help you to choose joy-sparking storage methods and to organize items so you’ll never lose anything again!
